TOP 6 ROMANCE FILMS
Enjoy ;)
(LOVE BIRDS...PS RACHEL MCADAMS BAD AF)
#1 THE NOTEBOOK
PG-13 | 2 hours 4 minutes
Of course "The Notebook" is taking the number one spot on my romance list. I'm sure anyone who's seen this movie would agree. Nicholas Sparks truly created the actual best love story that I have ever heard of. The Notebook is a perfect example of what it actually looks like when two people are absolutely head over heals for one another.

(TITANIC - COVER)
#2 TITANIC
PG-13 | 3 hours 14 minutes
I would have also listed this as the number one movie in my romance section, but the fact that Jack dies and doesn't end up with rose lands this movie at number one on my "Drama Romance" list instead because of Jack Dawson's death. To me the best romance films are the ones with a happy ending on the big screen, but because of the amazing talent and realism in this film I had to at least give it a number two spot. "Titanic" is a beautiful love story with a beyond sad ending. The reality that this film is based off of a true story makes it even more devastating. Regardless, Titanic is still an incredible film that must be seen by anyone who's into a romantic film with a ton of problems involved.

(TWO PEOPLE KISSING AND HOLDING A BASKETBALL)
#3 LOVE AND BASKETBALL
PG-13 | 2 hours 4 minutes
Realistic plot with realistic acting. Quincy (Omar Epps) and Monica (Sanaa Lathan) meet when they are both 11 years old and immediately don't get along, however overtime they begin to develop a love hate relationship that lasts all throughout high school and even college. The thing that I love most about this movie is how well they portray the life of two college athletes attempting to make a relationship work. With hardships developing in Quincy's life and in sports, it causes him to shy away from Monica at times but the love for someone is real, it will always find a way to work. I recommend this movie to anyone who is looking for a great sports romance film.

(PRIDE AND PREJUDICE - COVER)
#4 PRIDE AND PREJUDICE
PG | 129 minutes
I love films that portray a different time. "Pride and Prejudice" does an excellent job at showing what life was like during the late 18th century in England. The love story revolves around a young man and woman by the name of Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet who meet each other and immediately develop feelings for one another. Reluctantly falling in love with Elizabeth, Mr. Darcy has to find a way to get over his own pride and prejudices when it comes to deciding if he will end up with Elizabeth or not because she is beneath his class. Terrific performances from Keira Knightley, Donald Sutherland, Mathew Mcfadyen, and Judi Dench.

(DOCTOR ZHIVAGO)
#5 DOCTOR ZHIVAGO
PG-13 | 3 hours 17 minutes
Brilliant film with an ending that will touch your heart. The plot revolves around the life of a Russian physician and poet who, although married to another, falls in love with a political activist's wife and experiences hardship during the First World War and then the October Revolution. The ending will probably leave you in tears.

#6 hitch

Funny, entertaining, and filled with romance, HITCH is a film that you will absolutely fall in love with. No lie I've probably watched it around 200 times and counting till this day. One of Will Smith's best films hands down.
